Your Privacy
Frequently asked questions about how we handle information before, during, and after sessions.
Is my Zoom name visible?
Other guests will see the display name you use in Zoom. Feel free to use your first name, initials, or an alias that helps you feel safe. Our crew keeps a record of your registration name privately so we know who to follow up with if needed.
Who can read the chat?
During the session, facilitators and peer support workers can read public chat messages. Private chats sent to the crew stay between you and that crew member. Chat history is cleared when the Zoom call ends.
Are sessions recorded?
No. Live sessions are not recorded unless we explicitly tell you otherwise (for example, when creating a new replay). If recording occurs you will see a notification and can choose to stay or leave.
What if I leave suddenly?
If you exit unexpectedly, we may send a quick email or text to check that you are safe and to offer support. You do not need to reply, but we encourage you to let us know if you need extra care.
How can I update or delete my information?
Email [email protected] with your request. We aim to complete updates within five working days.
Do you share my story with funders?
When we report to funders we use anonymised data (for example, number of attendees, session types, general themes). Personal stories are only shared with explicit consent.
Can I stay anonymous?
You can stay camera-off and use an alias, but we need a working email so we can send Zoom links and safety follow-ups. We never sell or rent contact details.
Still unsure? Reach out via [email protected] and we will talk it through.
